Sweep is bred by
MJ Mc Naught, Bala.
He was bought as a pup by I.B.Jones from Capel Bangor
in the central part of Wales. I got him at the end of April 2003.
He was partly trained and he went to his first trial in July. It was a Local Trial
and he passed it (and won it). He has also started Open Class on both sheep and cattle.
He has got second price 4 times and first price 1 time on sheep (in 4 trials)
and on cattle he made the trial, and was number 8 of 17 starters. This was
2003. In 2004 and 2005 he has started in several open class and is progressing well, with good
outruns, nice flanks and much power.
His hips and eyes are OK.
He has got 3 litters with my bitches Sally and
Megan
They are all more or less working good
and I am happy to have good contact with them all. I kept a dog called Yang
from 2003 and he is a real nature sheepdog!!
I also kept Sara from Megan and she is now sold fully trained. The last one
is Ester from Sally 2005. She has just started her training. She is really
keen.
Sweep is a very curious dog, nice to everything and everybody and he is very
keen in working both sheep and cattle. He is a good listener and has his concentration
all the time.
His new life on the farm is
different from his life in Wales. I have him with me a lot in the work with
the sheep and he follows me as a shadow where ever I go.
He has been very easy to train.
His outruns are nice and he is good in driving the sheep in different
directions. He is brave.
